The client, a global consulting firm, wanted to gauge the trends in mergers & acquisitions (M&A) in the information technology and information technology-enabled services (IT & ITES) industry. They sought Benori’s support to:
- Assess the current interest levels of organizations in M&A activities
- Analyze key aspects of M&A, including deal approaches, pre-deal considerations, valuation strategies in the tech sector, deal evaluation methods, and post-deal integration management
- Evaluate the impact of generative AI on M&A dynamics and its influence on deal-making processes
Approach:
Our approach was to evaluate companies involved in or planning M&A activities or investments in the coming years. For this, we carried out primary research by surveying C-level and C-1 executives in finance and strategy roles. The focus was on emerging technologies shaping India's tech sector, deal approaches, valuation methods, and key considerations during and post-deal.
